A calm mind is within reach.

Freedom from anxiety and stress is possible. It's not  easy to find calm when we live in a society that as a whole is overstimulated, disconnected, and overworked. And it's even harder for those of us that are immigrants and first generation.

My overarching goal is to help others find a sense of inner peace.

I do this through education, awareness of limiting beliefs and their origin, and intentional practice of coping with difficult emotions.

What do I mean by intentional practice? We can talk about our feelings until we are blue in the face, but that'll only get us so far in actually learning to cope with them. I help lead my clients intentionally connect with their uncomfortable emotions so they can stop resisting and learn to work through them.

Meet Karla

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hello and welcome!

My name is Karla. I'm a licensed therapist, clinical supervisor, and trauma-informed yoga instructor.

I have clinical training and experience in treating a variety of issues but what I LOVE MOST is helping immigrant and first generation folks learn to  manage anxiety, overcome limiting beliefs, and prioritize their mental and emotional well-being.

As someone who lived for many years undocumented and has over a decade of experience working with the Latinx population, I understand the unique challenges that immigrant and first generation individuals face and the impact these experiences have on our mental health and self-confidence.

I use my background as a CBT and exposure therapist, trauma-informed yoga instructor to help my clients feel calm, confident, and worthy.
